We have just finished our latest round of mass testing of residents and staff. This resulted in 12 more positive cases, all in our Lodge Memory Care building. We also had 8 more staff members test positive. We still have no positive results for any residents in Assisted Living or the Memory Care Cottage. The next round of mass testing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28.
We wanted to update you on the latest information about COVID in our Community. In our last round of mass testing on January 6, all staff and residents tested as negative. However, in our most recently round of weekly testing, we had 9 individuals in our Memory Care test positive and one staff member. On January 10, we had a resident who was transported off-site for care test positive for the virus as well. No staff tested as positive during the January 12 mass testing.
After our most recent round of weekly testing on a random portion of our staff and residents, we had no new positive cases. We are currently awaiting additional testing kits so we can conduct testing on all staff and residents. We do have some kits available to do in-house testing of residents that may display signs or symptoms of the virus. We have been told the kits may come in today, but the holiday tomorrow may delay the receipt.
