Residents, Families and Partners:

We have just finished our latest round of mass testing of residents and staff.  This resulted in 2 more positive cases, in one of our AL Cottages.

The next round of mass testing is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 11, 2021.

All positive residents continue to be isolated from other residents with dedicated staff and cares provided with heightened infection control procedures. All staff that have tested positive have completed their required home self-isolation per CDC guidelines and all other staff have tested negative this last week. Those staff will continue to be tested weekly during the mass testing.

We are thankful to report that we were able to hold our first vaccine clinic to administer the first does of the vaccine to residents and staff that are not currently positive for the virus.  The clinic for our second dose has been scheduled 28 days from the first clinic, on February 19th.  There will be a second vaccine clinic on February 20th to provide the first dose of the vaccine to those residents and staff that were unable to participate in the first clinic due to their COVID positive status.

Please remember that the full benefits from the vaccine will not be experienced until some time after the second dose of the vaccine and vaccination is voluntary.  Therefore, infection control measures such as masks, hand hygiene and social distancing should continue for quite some time.  We will schedule later vaccine clinics to accommodate future new residents and residents who may be unable to take the vaccine in these initial clinics.

The restrictions outlined in our previous update regarding group activities and visitation will continue.

As always, we are monitoring all residents for signs and symptoms of the virus or any other change in condition and will contact residents’ responsible parties and primary healthcare providers if any change is noted and to discuss next steps.

Please continue to reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
