Residents, Families and Partners:

As promised, we wanted to provide you an update on what is going on in our Community related to COVID.

After our most recent round of weekly testing on a random portion of our staff and residents, we had no new positive cases.  We are currently awaiting additional testing kits so we can conduct testing on all staff and residents.  We do have some kits available to do in-house testing of residents that may display signs or symptoms of the virus.  We have been told the kits may come in today, but the holiday tomorrow may delay the receipt. Visitation Update

Resident and Families:

I am sure many of you are aware of the current surge in COVID positive cases throughout the country and in California.  Given this surge, we wanted to provide you an update with what is going on related to COVID in our Community.

As of the date of this letter, we have had not positive cases for our residents or our staff members.  We continue to engage in infection control measures to prevent the spread of the virus into our building.  Part of this effort is to encourage residents (and urge families to encourage residents) to:

  • Wearing masks when outside of their rooms;
  • Engaging in good hand hygiene; and
  • Practicing social distancing when outside of their rooms.

We have been assessing and monitoring staff and residents for signs and symptoms of the virus and residents for any changes in condition on a regular basis.  Should we note any changes with a resident, we will contact resident’s primary healthcare provider and family/responsible parities to discuss next steps.  We also have access to a limited amount of rapid on-site COVID tests if signs or symptoms are noted.

We are still closed to indoor visitation.  However, appointments for outdoor visits can be scheduled by contacting our Activity Director, Louisa Barrera.

Thank you for all of your support during this pandemic.  We will provide you with updates about any changes in our Community or when we learn about the availability and timing of vaccines for our residents.
